Relationships between types of networks

Each arrow on each path in a multiway system corresponds to a node in a causal network. Each element in each string in a multiway system corresponds to a connection in a causal network. Each complete string in a multiway system corresponds to a possible slice that goes through all connections across a causal network. Such a slice can be considered in traditional physics terms as a spacelike hypersurface (see page 1041).
