Earl Mitchell

Bio [2009]
Earl Mitchell has degrees in physics and philosophy from California Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo, and recently received his MBA from Pepperdine University with an emphasis in finance. He is interested in NKS as a paradigm shift across multiple fields and is most immediately focused on its application for modeling socioeconomic phenomena with the goal of developing more informed global economic policy. Earl has authored two nonfiction books concerning complexity in human structures and one book of poetry. He also writes, sings, and plays guitar.

Simulating Social Choice

Project
This project is devoted to understanding the emergent behavior of agent-based economic systems. The goal is to explore the effects of different resource-distribution rules on various measures of system performance, including things like "total utility," "efficiency," "equality," etc.
