Bio

Currently, Raúl is an undergraduate student at Universidad Panamericana (Panamerican University) in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, studying Mechatronic Engineering. He also works in Centro de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados del Instituto Politécnico Nacional (Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Intitute) in the labs of Power Electronics, developing a wind turbine. His science interests include mechanical engineering, mathematics, control systems, as well as social sciences, business, and education.

Other interests include: automobiles, technology, swimming, music, jogging, and teaching.

Project: White Noise Using Continuous Cellular Automata

My idea is to investigate through different types of continuous celular automatas of one dimension, and use the values one of their columns as a white noise generator. This will be used as a noise signal in an electric circuit with a controller in SystemModeler, in order to observe the behavior of the circuit’s output.
